However, the future is now, and inZOI is becoming a better competitor to The Sims 4, so without a further ado, let’s explore all the reasons why you should play inZOI over TS4.
The Obvious: The Sims 4 Is Older Than inZOI
This should not come as a surprise, but the game age still matters when it comes to life simulation video games. The Sims 4 was released in late 2014, but inZOI in the beginning of 2025. That’s a 10-year difference, and oh boy do you feel it when you compare the two games.
The Sims 4 was made to be compatible with computers that are also older, while inZOI focuses on players who have gaming PCs and just newer computer specs in general. And while TS4 team has implemented a lot of updates and features to keep the game trendy and up-to-date, inZOI is just the new generation game that already comes with things that were not available 10 years ago, such as better graphics, different game system, avatar complexity, AI features, and more!
Why The Sims 4 Will Never Be A Good Life Simulation Game
Let’s face it – TS4 has been lackluster since the release. The only 2 good things about The Sims 4 compared to the previous Sims’ games is the Create-A-Sim (CAS) features and the updated build & buy mode that allows players to build amazing houses, apartments, and community lots. Other than that the game is dull, lifeless, boring, repetitive, and definitely not exciting. Nothing fun or interesting happens EVER, you have to actively try to make your characters do something that would result in consecutive results from the game later. As far as the gameplay goes (and that is important for this genre) – The Sims 4 could never compete with inZOI. Also, The Sims 4 has had A LOT of bugs, glitches, errors in the recent years, leaving players angry and disappointed because their save files are missing or the newest Expansion Pack doesn’t work. Whilst inZOI is still in early release state as of early 2026, so the game is still being improved up on and new gameplay features are added FOR FREE by the way!
The Graphics – inZOI Is Visually Better Than Sims 4
Oh yes, people who are die-hard Sims 4 fans will say that inZOI is too realistic and that the zois look uncanny. While you can definitely see some uncanniness in the character’s expressions, for the most part you can make very realistic, beautiful and cute zois. A lot of people like the fact that inZOI allows customization in the Create-A-Zoi part of the game, letting players make diverse zois with different skin colors, hair textures and styles, clothing, body size, etc. In comparison TS4 without mods make the sims characters look like clay dolls. Maxis Match style is not it, the sims look cartoony and unrealistic.
The overall graphics in inZOI are better as well, as you can set your graphics settings to ultra and experience the worlds and zois in high quality. The water reflection, light & shadow settings are better than The Sims 4, too.
INZOI Is More Customizable Than The Sims 4

The Sims 4 took the feature away to optimize the game, while inZOI came with a color wheel and AI texture panel in the base game! You can recolor cars, objects, add fun patterns for clothes, and create the perfect makeup look in inZOI with ease. inZOI lets you import 3D objects in the game, which makes custom logo, painting, and decor object integration super easy. The Create-A-Zoi allows players to make characters that look like celebrities, themselves, or any fantasy character due to it’s wide range of customization options, sliders, edit-detail mode, etc.
The Mods: The Sims 4 VS inZOI
Since we’re talking about customization, let’s explore which game has the best mods. In the beginning of 2026, The Sims 4 has around 1 million mods but that does not mean that all of those mods are updated or even good quality. Remember that TS4 has been around for 10 years, so having a lot of mods is only natural. inZOI has allowed modding since May, 2025. Players can download realistic hairstyles, clothing and home decor items, but more complex mods are not available yet. For example, we are waiting till the full release of inZOI to get custom skins, custom drivable cars, more complex sliders, and more makeup, eyebrow and beard mods. Since inZOI uses realistic avatar models, the future of mods and custom content for inZOI is more exciting that The Sims 4. The Price Of Video Games (inZOI and The Sims 4)
Okay, now it’s pretty obvious to say that inZOI has better value for money than TS4. INZOI costs 39.99$ – the same price The Sims 4 used to cost before it was made free-to-play in 2022. Let me remind you that those 40 dollars or euros that you spend on inZOI give you way more that TS4 ever did. One Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 costs 39.99$ if it’s not on sale – that means that a DLC costs the same as a next generation video game! Yes, inZOI is supposed to have DLC content in the future, but for now Krafton released Cahaya update with a new free tropical world, more options, and business pack for free. The weather is included in the base game as well. The Sims 4 could never! You have to buy several EPs to get the game as close to realistic and enjoyable, and to own all DLC content for TS4 will cost you around 1000 dollars. That’s crazy! So, inZOI is not only better but also cheaper than The Sims 4.
inZOI Is Responsive To Player’s Needs & Requests
Krafton – the company behind inZOI – is very dedicated and responsive to players needs, requests, ideas, and opinions about the video game. They communicate with players through discord and their website to inform about future updates, changes, and new content that players want to see. The Sims 4? Sure, if you pay them for the basic features that should be in the base game, then they might listen. Most of the updates for TS4 base game came later, so you could say that TS4 was also released in Early Access. A lot of sims players want and complain about certain features but to no avail. The Sims 4 still doesn’t have drivable cars, open world, better skin color match, fun gameplay interactions, and more. Even 10 years in to the game the highly requested features are missing, but in inZOI players can already drive cars, follow their characters during work, explore the open world, and play using high degree of customizability.
